1. Connect scan tool to the 16-pin data link connector (DLC) located underneath the glove compartment. The connector has a removable cover.
2. Turn the ignition on.

Worked on my 05 RL and 07 MDX. Needless to say problems, if any, should be fixed before deleting messages. Press & hold the 'cancel', 'map/guide', and 'menu' buttons at the same time. Radio Code I have an 05 TSX and my wife has an 08 TSX. The dealer gave me a separate card with the radio code; my wife's dealer wrote the radio and nav codes on the front of the user manual but I have since found them also on a sticker below the spare tire. Have also heard of them being on a sticker somewhere in the glove compartment. Acura radio unlock codes. Many Acura radios are equipped with a special anti-theft radio code. This code is not required, unless the radio is removed from the vehicle, or the vehicles battery is disconnected. You should always have a copy of your radio code in a safe place, not in the vehicle! Dial the Acura Customer Service Number: 1-800-382-2238 to unlock your navigation system and assign you a new security code. Step 2 Provide Customer Service with the requested information for VIN, Navigation Unit Serial Number and ownership Information.
You may also retrieve Acura check engine light codes using the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), by counting the flashes as follows:
1. Connect SCS service connector special tool No. 07PAZ-0010100, or equivalent, to service check connector located under the passenger's side of dash.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. MIL will indicate DTC's by outputting a number of flashes.

Radio CODE retrieval Instructions: How to get the radio CODE.
1 Turn ignition on and turn off the radio ( so it will be blank the screen should not read code )
2 Push the #1 and #6 buttons on the radio and hold them while turning the radio power on.

3 The screen should give you the U and four digit number than L and four digit number wright that down that's your serial number.
4 If you want to test the radio without code or temporary turn the radio on push the #2 button and the radio will come on ( see video instructions )
5 To get the radio code go to the Acura or Honda dealer and they usually give you the code for free when you have the serial number ( get proof of ownership)
